The story of a photographer
Ok, so you like what you see so far, but want to know a little bit more about me, juuuuuust to make sure I'm the right fit?
Well, there's not that much to tell haha. But here's some fun facts!
- My husband and I met each other in the dirty old LENIN bar! Not quite the romantic love story you would hope for, but hey, here we are still over 10 years later married with 3 kids.
- I became a Christian when I was 18 years old, which was quite the turn around for me from being a crazy teenager! My family and I attend C3 Church in Albany.
- I'm a wee bit of the 'hippy' type in some ways. I'm all about healthy food, natural remedies, getting some good sunlight, and living life ideally as 'stress free' as possible (wish my kids got that memo!). Don't worry though, I still eat chocolate and do normal people things, I just have 'hippy' type philosophy's.
And I guess you'd like to know how I came to be a photographer!
It's only now that I'm doing what I do (photography), that I realize I've always had a creative/artistic streak, I just never figured out an outlet for the creativity up until having my first baby.
I started out just taking photos of my girls on my phone, and I always found myself going out of my way to get those 'money shot' perfect photos just in our everyday life.
As I would post them to social media I started getting heaps of comments on how nice they were, and often being asked if I had some professional photos taken. Pretty quickly it was like a light bulb turned on in my head, and it all made sense - Photography was my creative outlet! No idea why this didn't click sooner as my passion for this area runs deep, but hey, everything happens for a reason right? And that's when Earthside Photography was born.
When you have children this beautiful how can you not get passionate about snapping shots of them!
